The following covenant was written by the members of Iglesia Unida. It expresses our commitment to the Church and to our God.

If you are looking for a church, we invite you to join us and form part of a community that works toward the inclusive justice that Christ proclaimed. Read our covenant to understand the way we see our mission.

If you are a new member of Iglesia Unida, we invite you to study our covenant to better understand the mission of your church.

Because we have been called by Christ

—

to be his disciples, obeying and teaching all that he taught,

—

to be part of a new community, where there are no foreigners,

—

to be united in doing God’s work as the body of Christ,

—

to serve each other and those in need,

—

to be the light of the world,

We commit ourselves

—

to form a church in Chapel Hill in order to share the message of salvation,

—

to evangelize, disciple and serve our community in the name of Jesus,

In the power of the Holy Spirit, and with the certainty that Christ will be with us until the end.
